As a retired Navy Master Chief, the highest rank for a non-commissioned officer, Larry Heikkila decided to give back to his community, Norman, which he loves so much, by running for mayor. It was an honor to have Larry on to discuss his run for and time as mayor, as well as his life as an adopted child, his life in a military family, and his desire to give back to his church and community. I have found that Larry and his wife, Janet, both have a servant's heart and go out of their way to welcome everyone and pour into those they encounter.
